SAINT JULIEN DU VERDON, a “perched” village typical of Haute Provence, clings to the south-facing sides of a hill, its narrow streets of ancient houses closely grouped round its two church towers on a promontory giving an exceptional view over the Lac de Castillon, with the reflection of the fantastic circus of wooded mountains in its turquoise waters.

Situated at an ideal altitude which favours walking trips on the way-marked forest paths, the village also provides the banks of the Lac de Castillon and its wonderful expanse of more than 500 hectares of water, where the pleasures of sailing, water skiing, canoeing, fishing and swimming can be experienced.
