* By car or bicycle, the calm and freshness of the issole valley will revise you after a visit to Lambruisse or Chateau Garnier you will discover all you need to know about the life of bees; discover genepy, the flower of the mountains with it’s many uses (liquers, and herbal infusion) at Thorame Basse. At Thorame Haute, don’t miss a visit to the  avender distillery in july and august.

On bicycle, take the D 955 and stop for a dip in the refreshing Verdon.

* By car, make your way to Colmars les Alpes, the fortified village by Vauban. Don’t forget to soak feet under the Lance waterfall and take a well-earned rest

* If you have the time, continue through the valley as far as Allos and it’s mythical alpine lake at 226 meters high in the National Mercantour Park.


* Take a picnic in your backpack and explore the surrounding footpaths. The walk to Courchons with it’s ancient bread oven and wash-house for the more experienced walkers, enjoy the precipitous high walkway along the Gorges de Saint Pierre, the hike along the Crete des Serres or to the mountain Lakes of lignin and Encombrette.
