Rules governing the use of boats on the Castillon lake

Arrêté Préfectoral 83-1792

·Motor boats are forbidden in the bay of Cheiron
·Motor boats are allowed everywhere else on the lake but must keep to a speed limit ok 5Km/hour
·There is a reserved area for water-skiing where the maximum speed allowed is 60 km/hour
·Parking and mooring is allowed at Le Plan, with the exception of motor boats
·Parking and mooring is allowed at St Julien du Verdon for all types of boats
·Parking and morning is allowed at Du Cheiron, with  the exception of motor boats
·Parking and moorning is allowed at La Baie d’Angles for motor boats less than 10 CV
·Launching of motor boats is permitted at Le Plan, for boats with an engine size less than 10 CV.
·Launching of motor boats is permitted at St Julien du Verdon, for boats with an engine size between 10-90 CV
·The total number of boats allowed in the water-skiing area at any one time must not exceed 6
·Motor boats towing a water skier have priority over all others boats on the water
·Motor boats have priority over motor boats on the water
·Water skiing is allowed between 7 am – 1pm and from 6pm onwards(in July and August)
·Underwater diving is not allowed in any area of the lake
·Jet-skiing is not allowed on any area of the lake
